Girls’ Track and Field Competes Well at Regional; A. Tokarz-3200, and Sam Martin-1600 Run Personal Records; 4×800 and 4×400 Run Season-Best Times

Lady Kougar Track and Field Team Wins 2017 Gene Edmonds Relays Championship

On a rainy, chilly Friday night, the Lady Kougar Track and Field Team won their third relays championship trophy of the season at the Gene Edmonds Relays, held at Rensselaer Central High School.  KV used a total team effort to score 102 points to win the title, with Twin Lakes 2nd with 80, the hosts

Last night, the area #8 ranked Lady Kougars had perhaps their best overall meet of the season, losing to area power Hobart 84-57, and defeating a much improved Griffith team by a score of 98-40.  KV is now 7-2 on the regular season, 2-2 in the NCC, and 19-3 overall, including two Twin Lakes Relays

KV athlete of the week for 4/10-4/15

The Female Athlete of the Week is Sam Martin. A freshman on the Girls’ Track and Field team, Sam had a terrific Hobart Little 5 meet on Saturday, winning the 1600 in an 8 second plus personal record time of 5:39.18. This was KV’s only individual win en route to a strong runner-up team finish

Last night the KV Lady Kougar Track and Field Team improved to 6-1 on the regular season, 11-2 overall, with three impressive wins: KV-113.5, an excellent North Judson squad-81, North Newton-35, Oregon Davis-11. Seniors Julianna Colon and Rae Walther led the way, combining for 7 blue ribbons.  Colon led off the winning 4×100 relay team
