Tonight at Crown Point, KV and CP resumed their match from last night that was called due to lightning at 9:35pm. But just as the first point was played rain fell delaying the match another 30 minutes. When the match finally got rolling the Kougars just couldn’t keep the momentum they had from the night before. Great tennis was still played at the 2 singles and 2 doubles positions. Taylor Schultz at 2 singles ended up staying on the court with CP for 1:45 minutes before losing. The 2 doubles of Hanna Gutwein & Alexis Arambula gave CP everything they could handle in a 2:45 match.
1S – Aubrey Toppen vs Emily Rhee 3-6, 0-6
2S – Taylor Schultz vs Gina Chiarella 4-6, 3-6
3S – Toni Daniels vs Katherine Ho 1-6, 0-6
1D – Allison Dykstra & Olivia Arnold vs Rebecca Ising & Caroline Johnson 1-6, 1-6
2D – Hanna Gutwein & Alexis Arambula vs Jessica Bao & Peyton Smith 6-4, 4-6, 1-6
The Lady Kougars finish with an impressive 12-2 record overall, 4-1 in the NCC for 2nd place and 2 Invite Championships. Their only 2 team losses were to state and district ranked opponents. Great season Ladies! The Kougars say goodbye to 2 Seniors, Aubrey Toppen & Alexis Arambula who will be greatly missed!
