On Saturday January 9th, the Kankakee Valley Kougars hosted the Benton Central Bison in Boys Varsity Basketball action. The Kougars started off very well, leading by a core of 18-7 after the first quarter. KV’s zone continued to cause the Bison problems in the second quarter, and the Kouagrs were able to extend their lead to 27-13 heading into halftime. The second half was more of the same as the Kouagrs continued to slowly extend their lead throughout the remainder of the game, ending with a victorious 58-29 final score.

Junior Nick Mikash led KV with 15 points while Senior Eli Carden scored 13.
