4A number 7 ranked Kankakee Valley traveled to 4A number 5 ranked Harrison on Saturday morning. The Raiders drew first blood in the first inning. Second baseman, Kiley Goff, started things by getting hit by a pitch. A sacrifice bunt moved her to second. Then with one out a throwing error allowed her to score the game’s first run. The 25-4 Kougars answered in the second. First baseman, Ashley Fisher drew a walk. Center fielder, Kaylee Barrett, drilled a triple, but Fisher was thrown out at the plate. An infield ground-out from second baseman, Lindsey Stokes, scored Barrett to tie the game at 1. A lead-off hit in the third, followed by a two-out R.B.I. single from Raider shortstop, Anna Henderson, was the game winner.
