The Kankakee Valley (KV) Girls Soccer Team traveled to Wheeler and tied 1-1. After Wheeler scored early KV ramped up the intensity. KV was able to find the back of the net themselves before halftime. Mady Hamstra served up a beautiful cross that Mya Herrema was able to head into the goal. KV’s Karmen Nowak played great helping shut down any attack Wheeler had. Courtney Fox, KV’s goalkeeper, had 11 saves for the night.
KV Girls Soccer will be back in action for sectional,s hosted by Hanover Central, next Tuesday as we take on the Lowell Red Devil’s in our first game of sectionals. This game starts at 7:00 after West Lafayette and Hanover Central face off starting at 5.
