On Friday February 14th, the Boys’ Varsity Basketball team traveled to Hebron to take on the Hawks. The Kougars played an overall good game, leading pretty much wire to wire to earn a 62-50 road victory over a gritty Hebron squad. The Kougars shared the ball on offense extremely well during the game, getting 22 assists as a team on 24 made field goals. KV also continues to improve as a team defensively, getting better each week with their help side coverage, screen defense, and overall rotations. Hopefully the Kougars can continue this improvement through the last couple weeks of the regular season and into Sectional Week.

KV had three players in double figures scoring. The Kougars were led by sophomore Nick Mikash with 19 points. Senior Gavin Herrema added 12 points and Junior Matt Caldwell chipped in with 10 points while Senior Tyler Martin just missed double figures by netting 9 points for the Kougars.

The Boys Varsity Basketball Team returns to action this coming Tuesday, February 18th, as they host a possible future Sectional opponent, the Wheeler Bearcats. The JV game is set to start at 5:30 pm with the Varsity game slated for a tip-off at approximately 7:00 pm.
