The Kougar JV football team kicked off the start of its season Monday night with a 26-0 win over the Rensselaer Bombers.
After stopping the Bombers on 4th down in the opening possession, the Kougars marched right down the field. Andrew Parker completed passes to Logan Parks and Caleb Deardorff to set up a touchdown run by Jack Lamka. The Kougars second scoring drive was set up by a 30 yard completion from Parker to Tommy Jones and a touchdown run by Maximus Lustig. The final two scores for the Kougars were touchdown runs by Lamka and Parks.
The Kougars played great team defense all night holding the Bombers to just 2 first downs. Nineteen different players recorded a tackle for Kougars with Myles Turpin, Caleb Solomey, Nolan Gronkiewicz, and Jones leading the way.
