The Kougar JV Football team beat Lowell on Saturday 27-0. On the Kougar’s first possession Eli Deardorff completed passes to Nolan Gronkiewicz and Louden Fugett to set up Jack Lamka for a rushing touchdown. Caleb Deardorff picked off a Lowell pass on the next possession. A long run by Eli followed by a touchdown pass from Eli to Fugett put the Kougars up 14-0. On the Kougar’s next possession Eli Deardorff completed a 68 yard touchdown pass to Caleb Deardorff. On the next possession Michael Dennie forced a Lowell fumble that was recovered by Luke Richie. Andrew parker completed a pass to Fugett to set up another Lamka touchdown. Big blocks up front by Carson Hines, Evan Misch, Myles Turpin, Brayden Bunce, and Dennie provided for 122 yards rushing for Lamka.
The Kougar defense played another solid game and have shutout all 5 teams they have faced this year. Lowell had a first and goal from the 3 yard line, but aggressive tacking kept Lowell out of the end zone on 4 straight plays. Lowell’s only other trip to the redzone ended with a interception by Fugett in the endzone. Leading the way in tackles was Caleb Solomey, Max Lustig, Fugett, and Gronkiewicz.
