The Kankakee Valley freshman football team got one last win Tuesday night to finish the freshman season with 3 wins and 2 losses (C-team 1-1). The Kougars started off the night with a 45 yard pass from Eli Carden to Logan Fugget to set up a 4 yard touchdown run by Aiden Sneed. Munster got the ball and drove the field until the Kougar defense stopped them and held them to a field goal. The Kougars quickly responded with a one play 65 yard rushing touchdown by Aiden Sneed. Mustangs were then forced to punt giving the ball back to the Kougars. The Kougars then put a one play drive screen pass to Aiden Sneed for a 65 yard touchdown run. After the Kougars repeatedly shut the Mustang offense down, Eli Carden fired a 25 yard touchdown pass to Vincent McDonald for the second week in a row. The Mustangs tried changing up to the offense by throwing the ball. The Kougars dominating defense shut the Mustang passing game down. After stopping the Mustangs, Markus Ritchie kicked a 31 yard field goal. The Kougars had one more late game 20 yard rushing touchdown by Curtis Dekock to finalize the game.
For the third week in a row we had great blocking up front by Ilija Dobrijevich, Kyle Boyer, Austin Frederick , Jeff McMahan, and Tyler Feddeler which led to a big night rushing.
