The Kankakee Valley freshman football team got another big win Thursday night against a high powered Highland team. Hunter Black started off the night with a big solo tackle on the kickoff team pinning Highland down. KV was able to score first with a one play 65 yard touchdown run by Aiden Sneed. The Kougars continued to move the ball down the field with 15 yard run by Aiden Sneed. Eli Carden connected on a 27 yard pass to Logan Fugett to set up a 7 yard touchdown reception to Markus Ritchie. Eli Carden connected to Vincent McDonald for a 30 yard touchdown reception. Eli Carden showed not only can he throw the ball but he can also run the ball setting up a 15 yard touch reception to Curtis Dekock. Marcus Ritchie ended up kicking 5 extra points for the Kougars . For the second week in a row we had great blocking up front by Ilija Dobrijevich, Kyle Boyer, Austin Frederick , Jeff McMahan, and Tyler Feddeler which led to a big night rushing. Sneed finished the game with 120 rushing yards on 10 carries. Curtis Dekock added 49 yards on 5 carries and one reception. Carden went 9 of 12 passing for 107 yards with 51 yards rushing on 3 carries. Markus Ritchie had two receptions for 28 yards and one carry for 38 yards. Logan Fugett had two great catches for 36 yards. Vincent had one touchdown catch for 30 yards. On special teams Hunter Black was a force to be reckoned with recording 3 kickoff tackles. Defensively the Kougars were led by Aiden Sneed with 11 tackles. Tyler Feddler forced a fumble and recorded 6 tackles. Kyle Boyer, Eli Carden, Curtis Dekock, and Illija Drobrijevich all had multiple tackles in the game.

Final score of the game 35-0. The Freshman Team plays again next Thursday at Home against Munster.
