Game Recap

Kankakee Valley (KV) Lady Kougar soccer team traveled to Hobart and lost in a shootout. KV’s Karmen Nowak found the back of the goal first in the 18th minute. In the 8th minute of the second half there was a scrummage in front of the KV goal that was deemed an unsafe play allowing Hobart to have an indirect kick on the six. Hobart was able to score off of this tying the game at 1-1. At the end of regulation since the game was tied and it was a conference game the game went into two additional 7 minute halves. Since the score was still 1-1 at the end of overtime the game then went into penalty kicks. The Kougars would lose 2-1 in the shootout.
KV’s Keeper, Jenna James, had 13 saves for the night.

The future Lady Kougar night will be held Thursday, 9/07/17 against Boone Grove. Future Kougars in River Valley Soccer will get in for free if they are wearing their team shirts! Prizes and special announcements will be made throughout the night.
