Boys Freshman Football, Boys Varsity Football · Coach Saves Life!

Kankakee Valley Freshman football coach and Jasper County Police Deputy Durral Hale, earned special recognition from Jasper County Sheriff Patrick Williamson for a life saving event.  Deputy Hale was the first on the scene and administered CPR to a man in sudden cardiac arrest.  The attached story is available on Facebook.

Coaches at Kankakee Valley are required to take several courses to enable them to coach.  One of the courses required is Sudden Cardiac Arrest!  While we all know that our first responders are required to know CPR, it is true that all of our teachers have to be CPR certified as well.  This is a great example of the type of people we have looking out for our kids.  Deputy Hale we appreciate your efforts to make our athletes better football players, but we appreciate your service to protect our community even more!  Congratulations for your recognition!
