Kougars News · Kougars caged in the 1st quarter proves costly

The JV Kougars hosted the Crown Point Bulldogs on Thursday December 20th and a strong, well executed 1st quarter by the visiting Bulldogs was to much for the Kougars to overcome, as the Bulldogs built a 24-3 lead at the 1st stop, and never looked back the cruising to a 80-51 victory. The Kougars showed life and fight the last three quarters, but the 21 point margin was just to much for the outmanned Kougars to overcome.  Nick Mikash and Riley Jordan were the only 2 Kougars who scored in double figures, as they scored 27 and 12 respectively.  The loss sent the Kougars into the Christmas break with a 4-4 record overall and a 0-1 record in conference. The young Kougars will have a short turn around with only one day of practice after Christmas break before they travel to Hobart to participate in a one day Christmas JV Tourney featuring Wheeler, Lake Station, and the host Hobart Brickies, on December 27th.
