Kougars News · Third Quarter proves costly at Kouts for the JV Boys

Just horrific shooting in the 3rd quarter cost the JV boys a chance to move their record to 3-0. After starting the game off in uncharacteristic fashion, and falling behind 19-7 to the Kouts Mustangs the JV Boys battled back to give themselves a chance to win their 3rd game of the young year, by cutting the Mustang lead to 7 by half time.  But, just a tremendously poor shooting effort in the third quarter where they didn’t score a basket and only scored a point when Nick MiKash made one of two free throws sealed the teams fate, and allowed the Mustangs to roll to a easy victory over the Kourgars  67-43. With their record standing at 2-1 the Kourgars will get back to work this week and prepare for two tough games against the Morgan Cherokees on Friday night at Morgan Twp High School and then the Valpo Vikings will visit the Kourgar Den for a Saturday night matchup. Make plans to come out to both games and cheer your Kourgars on to victory.
