Kougars News · Boys’ cross country races in top form at conference meet

The boys’ cross country team faced Northwest Crossroads Conference rivals in head-to-head competition to determine conference rankings on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Lowell High School.  The host Red Devils continued their streak of dominance with 25 points.  Ascending Highland took second in 34; the Kougars notched third with 83 points.

“Third may not sound great,” commented Coach Adams, “but the two teams ahead of us will likely earn spots in the State meet.

“Four guys earned conference honors today; we had 6 PRs on the varsity plus one second best time: and in the reserve race, five of the six produced their top or second best times.

“Overall, this fastest team effort in at least the last five years; Micah and Justin had a lot to do with that, posting the best third and fourth man times in recent history.”
