Meet Recap

Tonight Kankakee Valley(KV) Kougars Tennis started their season traveling to Rensselaer Central High School. KV came away with a perfect 5-0 on the night. Leading the way was Number(No) 2 Doubles of Nolan McKim and Cole Brzeznski defeating Drew Meyer and Clayton Moore 6-1, 6-0. Next to finish was No. 3 Singles Toby Aldrich with an impressive win over Micah Moore 6-0, 6-3. No.2 Singles Austin Martakis had a solid performance defeating Roman Villegas 6-1, 6-1. At No.1 singles the hard hitting of Austin Atterbury was just to much for Trenton Musch winning 6-3, 6-2. Finishing the night off for the Varsity was No. 1 Doubles of Sam Sanders and Garrett Brewster needing a set to figure the new formed team out. They defeated Tyler Swartz and Bryce Crews 5-7, 6-0, 6-1. Fantastic start for the 1-0 Kougars.
KV Kougars Junior Varsity(JV) also was in action with No.1 Doubles Jake Boissy and Conner Biernat defeating Colin Harvey and Ben Deadman 8-2. No.2 Doubles Tom Evans and Cole Cavinder also won 8-3. JV is now 1-0.
Next match for the Kougars Tennis Team is Friday the 18th hosting Merrillville.
