KV- Randy Sneed had 15 carries for 45 yards and 1 Catch for 14 yards
SO. Donald Nannenga 16 carries for 140 yards including 77 yard TD run
SR. RB Logan Nowak had 2 carries for 4 yards
SR. TE Jake Shevock had 1 catch for 5 yards
JR QB Nick Schoonveld was 4 for 9 passing for 93 yards and 3 carries one resulting
in yard touchdown run
SO. WR Dylan Parker had two catches for 74 yards and 1 touchdown
JR. K Milan Dezelich was 2 for 3 on extra points.
Defensively KV defense had 4 sacks for 22 yards loss and 4 tackles for loss of 17
yards by Shevock, Sneed and Kapella.
Gilbert had 11 carries for 20 yards
Ybarra had 6 carries for 87 yards including 63 yard TD run
Becker 10 carries for 30 yards including 2 yard TD run
Defensive battle with both teams struggling to move the ball.
With 11:53 to go in the 2nd Quarter Donald Nannenga scampers for a 77 yards touchdown the extra point was converted by Milan Dezelich.
With 6:01 left on the clock Sr. running back Austin Becker scores on two yard plunge followed by two point conversion by Junior QB Jaylen Gilbert.
Fourth down and 2:30 on the clock Junior punter Wyatt Braden punts a 38 yard punt that was muffed on the 20 yard line recovered by Sophmore CB Dylan Parker. Was a key play that changed momentum in the game.
With 18.8 seconds before half time JR QB Nick Schoonveld takes a quarterback sweep 2 yards for a touchdown. The snap was bad on extra point converation making the score 13-8 at Half.
On a third down play with 3:43 left in the third quarter Schoonveld hits Dylan Parker for a 69 yard touchdown pass and run.
After a kick off that rolled out at the three yard line Rensselaer took over on their 35 yard line. JR RB Anthony Ybarra breaks a 63 yard run of his own. Rennselaer tried a two point converation that was snuffed out by a pack of Kougars making the score KV 20- Renn 14.
Back and Forth chess battle in the fourth quarter via for field positon. Sr DT Darrin Kapella forces a fumble and recovery that stopped a driving Rennselaer team. With good clock management and a key 4th down 38 yardpunt by Wyatt Braden to pin Rensselaer on their two yard line with less the a minute to go in the game sealed a 20- 14 victory.
