Boys Middle School Track, Boys Varsity Track · Boys’ track & field places 3rd out of 7


Boys’ track and field competed in the Hobart Little 5 on Saturday, April 16, 2016, placing 3rd out of the 7 team field. The Little 5, so named for the original number of teams, is one of the longest running track and field meets in Indiana.

Nick Schoonveld’s first place pole vault (12’0″) and Darin Kapella’s pair of 4th place finished in shot put (41′ 7.5″) and discus (124′ 6″) led KV in scoring.

The Brickies topped the field with 178 points, followed closely by Mishawaka with 168. The Kougars, still without three top runners, netted 71.5 points over South Bend Washington, Boone Grove, Griffith, and East Chicago Central. KV’s fielded a lineup missing 5 key individuals.
