Last night, both KVMS cross teams were victorious again, defeating Washington Twp. and Kouts. The girls won by scores of KV-25, WT-37, and Kouts-74. The boys were winners by these scores: KV-21, Kouts-55 and WT-60. Depth was key for both teams. Blythe Campbell, just a 6th grader, blasted home in 3rd overall, leading the way for KV with a time of 13:46 on the 1.8 mile course. Abby Robinson-4th in 13:52, Sam Martin-5th in 14:02, Alexis Culbreth-6th in 14:24 and Shelby Flick-7th in 14:25, took the next 4 places to seal the team win for KV, as WT went 1-2-8 in the girls’ race. 6th graders Julianna Barlog-11th in 14:57, Emilee Wilson-13th in 15:08 and Elise Kasper-15th in 15:29 were also in the top 15. The boys took places 2-3-4-5 and 7 behind Kouts’ 1st place. Noah Fry-11:48, Ty Niewoehner-11:50, Micah Adams-11:52 and Dean Schmidt-12:05, packed well into those 2 through 5 places, with 6th grader Justin Hoffman placing 7th in 12:43 to seal the deal for KV. Classmates Tommy Jones-13th in 13:22 and Trent Gideon-14th in 13:28, also placed in the Top 15. Others competing for KV were: Taylor DeBoard-18th in 15:35, Jaclyn Dutton-24th in 16:13, Jessica Donovan-25th in 16:18; Madison Ward-28th in 17:16, Lilly Snchez-35th in 18:09, Kyleen Mackey-36th in 18:10, Kalei Cave-37th in 18:27, Harley sorba-38th in 18:29, Hailey Hunt-19:57, Breanna Ruvalcaba-43rd in 19:58, Taylor Anderson-45th in 21:07, Mya Howard-46th in 22:16 and Senneca Leek-47th in 23:31. Ayden Allen was 16th in 13:38, Austin Garrison-17th in 13:39, Elliot Cates-20th in 14:30, Trent Thomas-21st in 14:31, Dezmyn Abbring-22nd in 14:34, Zach Meadows-23rd in 14:38, Colin Wheeler-24th in 14:39, Alden Cates-29th in 15:12, Logan Manns-33rd in 17:20, Andrew Tobias-34th in 17:51, Jesse Fagen-35th in 18:21, Brayden Birchett-36th in 18:43, Arturo DeJesus-37th in 18:48, Keegan Conway-38th in 19:03, Sam Evans-39th in 20:09 and Josh Williams-40th in 21:47.
