The Female Athletes of the Week are from the Girls Swim team who finished a very strong season with a fine performance at the Munster Sectional. Allison Schultheis placed 9th in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 58.44 (Personal Record), 10th in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:04.33 (Personal Record and New School Record). She helped the 200 Medley Relay team of Schultheis, Klauer, Sanders, Kent place 5th overall, and the 400 Freestyle relay team of Kent, Klemp, L. Gouwens, Schultheis place 5th overall. Brittany Kent placed 9th in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 26.18 (Personal Record), 11th in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 58.99 (Personal Record). She was also part of the 200 Medley relay team of Schultheis, Klauer, Sanders, Kent which placed 5th overall, and the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Kent, Klemp, L. Gouwens, Schultheis place 5th overall. Leah Gouwens placed 9th in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:17.78. Leah was a part of the 200 Freestyle relay team of Klauer, Klemp, Sanders, L. Gouwens which placed 7th overall, and a part of the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Kent, Klemp, L. Gouwens, Kent which placed 5th overall. Congratulations, girls !
The Male Athlete of the Week is junior basketball player Logan Abbring. Logan scored 16 points in a conference game vs. Highland last Friday and followed that up this past Friday with a 12 point performance vs Hobart, another NCC opponent. Congratulations, Logan!
