JV Kougar Boys Fight from Beginning to the End for the Victory at home.

After losing 3 straight to 3 very good opponents and getting themselves back into a routine at school the JV Kougar boys used a blue-collar, workman mentality and grinded out a big, big win over a Knox Redskin 53-31. The JV Kougar boys traveled to Monticello to play the host Twin Lakes Indians last Friday night the 11th of January, and at times looked like a very good team, but a slow start in the 1st quarter and a weak finish in the 4th quarter proved to much for the Kougars to over come

Broncos buck the Kougars off in the 1st quarter

The Lafayette Jeff JV Broncos came into the Kougar den on January 8th and got off the bus running wild.  The Broncos jumped out to an aggressive 18-3, 1st quarter lead and were never threaten the rest of the night cruising to a 66-42 victory.  The young Kougars came out of the locker room resembling Kougar

In probably their gutsiest effort, against arguably their toughest opponent to date the young Kougars just ran out of energy in the last 4 minutes of the game to corral and beat the Munster Mustangs, as they fell to the Mustangs 51-43.  It was an all out team effort on both ends of the floor from start

Due to high winds and snow drifting the boys basketball game against Lowell on Jan 19th has been canceled for today and will be rescheduled to a date in February.

NCC swimming

Today’s NCC swim meet at Munster is still on!  Parents please use your best judgement on sending your athlete to the school.  If you feel it is unsafe then just let the coach know they won’t be on the bus.  After your child swims you are welcome to sign them out and take them home.
